00:00:06 Kevin
Good morning, gang. Well, it is episode 13513 thousand and 500.
00:00:15 Kevin
Days I also like to call them episodes because you know, they're the narration of my life, right? So it's I've been alive for 13,500 days as of today. So hey, happy 13 five.
00:00:33 Kevin
I don't need a card. No, just just your subscriptions and your likes are greatly appreciated.
00:00:39 Kevin
So I know most of you are like, man, Kevin's gotta be addressed in that Council meeting today.
00:00:45 Kevin
Sorry gang, I was actually about to. I was about to at least just address 1 portion of it and the new the new system, right? So we've been on this new system since like January and we've been like broadcasting and doing stuff since February, but I have.
00:01:02 Kevin
I haven't actually done like a video review, and so for some reason I'm having an audio input with it, so like I'm getting the video on the screen and I'm not getting the audio, so I need some time to mess around with this and I'm running. I'm already burning the candle on today's hours to get like the kids dressed and ready for school and all those other deadly type things that I get done in the morning so.
00:01:24 Kevin
I wasn't gonna spend any more time with it and give you nothing, so I stepped aside and I didn't prepare. Prepare anything for the real estate either. So I guess I was just kind of.
00:01:35 Kevin
I was just going to, you know, freeform it this morning, but, you know, but make it brief just for your listening pleasure. So yeah, this morning we've got a.
00:01:47 Kevin
I don't know. It's one of those.
00:01:50 Kevin
We.
00:01:52 Kevin
We've last few days we've the missus found a chicken Outback that we have in our coop. That seemed to be egg bound and she was trying all these little tricks and stuff. And and I kind of let her be to it.
00:02:05 Kevin
And this is kind of like a I don't know a coming of.
00:02:12 Kevin
It's it's good for her to be learning how to like to deal with some of these issues, cause usually I'm the one who has to deal with it. We've never had an egg bound chicken before, at least if if we have, they've gone sepsis and died before we noticed that they were egg bound because a lot of times they'll just kind of like perch in the coop and you don't really like see them all day. So and we don't do like a head count on them and just be like alright, you know.
00:02:33 Kevin
Come on out for the day.
00:02:36 Kevin
So she had a she had a chicken that was clearly egg bound, and then by the time she had asked for my assistance last night helping with it.
00:02:48 Kevin
Coupling it with this whole week, right? One of our kids was sick. The other ones have all had raspy throats. They've given me this raspy throat like, and then I jumped back into jujitsu again yesterday. And like, I just, I hit it hard and I got dog boned and my, like, my head is still rattling. And then couple that with, you know, you got a raspy throat and it's like.
00:03:09 Kevin
And I got a wicked headache and it's like, am I sick? Did I over exert myself during jujitsu? You know, all these other things going on, I'm exhausted because I've just expelled a whole pile of energy.
00:03:21 Kevin
Dealing with sick kids. Get the Godfather we watched earlier in the week. We mentioned that. Which brings me to this next point because she brought me to she was like, well, I need you to deal with this.
00:03:31 Kevin
And then you know.
00:03:35 Kevin
Got it. Like stuff my finger in the things **** or something to try to get the egg out and.
00:03:42 Kevin
You know, after discussion, it was like, honey, your your fingers are smaller than mine. It's gonna cause the chicken a lot less pain for you to do it. And it's good for her to do it anyway. So it was one of those, like, you're grossed out by. Probably should do it like that is the. That is the Kevin philosophy, right? Like if you don't want to do it, you probably should be the one to do it.
00:04:01 Kevin
So she we started doing it in the sink. We had to bring it in and started doing it in the sink and it just it smelled. It got awful. So I think the egg.
00:04:11 Kevin
I think whatever it was has caused it to start to go sepsis and septic. And so even if we could get it out, it was, it's not long for this bird and she was pretty lethargic. So I had to do my.
00:04:22 Kevin
Kind of godfather inspired manly duty last night and.
00:04:27 Kevin
I pulled my freshly sharp axe out and had to.
00:04:32 Kevin
Had to do the things that you know normally I would have a second person for so it goes a lot quicker and it's cleaner but.
00:04:38 Kevin
When you're, you know.
00:04:41 Kevin
When your wife doesn't want to participate in that portion of the show, which that's fine, big steps, little steps to big goals, right? So.
00:04:51 Kevin
Sticking her finger in a chickens **** big step for the day. I'm not gonna push her, you know.
00:04:56 Kevin
So.
00:04:57 Kevin
Yeah. And then that is what it is. So it does make you think about life and death a little bit when you do it, you know, but after you've done it a few times, it's you know.
00:05:09 Kevin
It is one of those things you just kind of get used to. I remember when I first.
00:05:12 Kevin
Went hunting and I like.
00:05:15 Kevin
Killed a deer. I remember when I first went. When I first was driving, I had. I've been driving for like 5 years and I was driving back from college and I hit a like a a cat or a Bunny rabbit or something on the side of the road. Like it just ran across the road. And then, like, you look in the rearview mirror and there's nothing in the road and you're like, I know. I just saw a rabbit or there's some Animal Crossing and.
00:05:36 Kevin
You know, and they're they're gone. Like they they just get hit and just fling off into the road. You know what I mean? Like you just you have that sense of like if you my dad was never a hunter. So it's like you don't have that sense of like life and death, you know.
00:05:50 Kevin
And then you you kind of get that like ohh man, I just killed something and then it sinks in and then eventually you just kind of.
00:05:58 Kevin
It's part of life, right, like.
00:06:01 Kevin
If you eat meat you, I mean like something had to kill that cow, right? You don't blame your dog for killing the woodchuck, right? Like, because that's that's what he does. He thinks it's food. He also thinks it's fun, right? Like, that's what I mean. That's that's nature, right? So. But you have to prevent it suffering.
00:06:19 Kevin
Had to do my dadly duty last night and.
00:06:23 Kevin
But yeah, that was that. And man, I I felt like I slept good. But like, I was still tossing and turning and stretching because of how beat up I was from jujitsu.
00:06:40 Kevin
Somebody landed on my knee or not my knee. They landed their knee on my shin. That was that was a.
00:06:44 Kevin
Blast. I can feel that.
00:06:46 Kevin
Oh, that dog won't still like. So if you don't know what a dog bone is, it's where, like, you're in a grappling position and somebody has gotten you under their leg. But like, under their like, their back of their calf or their the the rear of their knee cap and then they just shake their leg up and down.
00:07:07 Kevin
Bounce your head.
00:07:08 Kevin
Off the floor and it gets you.
00:07:09 Kevin
To release your grip.
00:07:11 Kevin
So they could put you in an armbar and.
00:07:15 Kevin
I'm a trooper, so I don't let go.
00:07:19 Kevin
And so they have to dog bone more. And I pay for it later. But I am one to not release my grip because I'm not going to let you put me in an arm bar and make me lose cause I'm a winner.
00:07:32 Kevin
That's it. I'm a winner. I mean, I and I think I rode the clock out. So tie or win. I didn't lose. So I guess maybe the moral of the story is Kevin is not a winner per say, he doesn't win all the time, but he's not a loser. And I think that's a that's a good take away. It's a good take away for this beautiful Friday to pump me up for this 13, five day.
00:07:54 Kevin
13.
00:07:55 Kevin
5 all right, all right, gang, I'm going to try to figure out this audio stuff this weekend, and we'll try to get that one done. I've got a pile of Luke letters. I might try to cram those out and get those scheduled for release again, like we did last week, where you just get, like, hit with three, hit with three, hit with three, because there's a ton of things that I can talk about every day.
00:08:16 Kevin
And I just.
00:08:17 Kevin
I don't want to give you a Luke letter in the middle of the day. I'd rather let you just like, you know, let Kevin's voice soothe you for the day, and then, you know, you go into your, your morning routine and then, like, if you so choose to be mentally and.
00:08:32 Kevin
Mentally harm and mental harm and you want to listen to the Luke letters at your leisure over the weekend. Then you know, so be it. We there probably should put a content warning on the Luke letters because they may drive you insane.
00:08:48 Kevin
Hmm. Herbal matte. Alright gang. Well, we will see you later on life 22. Thanks for liking. Thanks for subscribing. Thanks for listening.
00:08:58 Kevin
Deuces.
