Hey gang, Kevin here, Life22, and another heavy-hearted morning podcast.

I was gonna have a little goofy video or something, and this morning when I woke up, I read an obituary for a dear friend and a constituent, one of my most memorable constituents, next to his neighbor.

which, for those of you who knew Jeff Reed, he was a unique guy.

He was one-of-a-kind.

He loved his community.
00:00:38 Kevin
He bought the house next to his, like most Americans do, to prevent, you know, riffraff and whatever from moving in, letting it turn into a rental.

He slowly worked at it, you know, when he had time and what he was capable of, and, you know, but at least he didn't have, you know,

riffraff next door.

So it was one of those things.

And he always had to put up with his neighbor, Tony, on the other side.

And I remember getting 45-minute phone calls from Tony every day about crazy stuff that Jeff was doing.

And you go talk to Jeff, and Jeff's not doing anything.
00:01:14 Kevin
It was all in his neighbor's head.

And it was like driving Jeff up a wall.
00:01:17 Kevin
And it was like, man, just-- and he was a soccer coach for years.

He'd always stop you on the street and wave at you.
00:01:28 Kevin
He'd pull up alongside the road when, you know, if he caught you out, if you were out doing something, if I was mowing a lawn or talking with the neighbor of a rental property or something, he'd pull up and get out and talk to you.

And that was Jeff, you know.

So, and I see that he passed away and it's, Olean's taking another loss.

So, but

Jeff wouldn't want us to leave it that way.

Jeff would want us to keep moving, keep moving forward.

And so, for friends and family of Jeff, my condolences, you know.

So, but with that said, guys, I hope you find more light in your day.

Don't let grievances and don't let grief get you down.

It's okay to mourn, but we do always need to look that we are still here, and we need to live our life to the fullest, just like Jeff did.
